Club Rules
Our photo club exists to encourage creativity, friendly feedback, and consistent practice. To keep judging fair and the site fast, entries must follow clear technical and content guidelines. Submit only work that you personally photographed and keep edits faithful to the scene. Acceptable edits include modest cropping, straightening, dust or spot removal, noise control, and basic exposure or color correction. Heavy composites, generated content, and AI images are not allowed. If people are recognizable in your photo, get permission and be courteous in public spaces. Stay safe while shooting and do not block walkways or staff. Keep content appropriate for a general audience, avoid watermarks or large signatures that could influence voting, and respect private property and posted rules. Titles and captions should be accurate and easy to read. Entries that break rules may be removed to protect a fair and welcoming experience for everyone.
Every submission must match the monthly theme and fit one of our three categories: Lions, Tigers, or Pistons. Use a clear subject and a clean background so the idea reads fast. Allowed file formats on site pages are gif, jpg, and png. Webp is allowed on the winners gallery page. Keep each file under 1 MB or the server may remove it. Aim for a long edge near 900 to 1200 px for fast loading and consistent layout. Filenames must be ASCII with no spaces, for example lions1.jpg. Every image tag on this site must include alt and title text that briefly describe the photo. Avoid close crops of broadcast screens or copied graphics. When logos or uniforms appear in a wider scene, use them as context rather than the main subject. Keep edits truthful and do not add or remove major elements from the frame.
Submit one entry per person per month through the Submit page using the mail link or approved form. Include your name, email, category, and a short caption in the message body so we can place and credit the image correctly. Voting happens on the Vote page and is limited to one ballot per person. Duplicate or suspicious ballots may be removed during tallying. In the event of a tie or rule question, the instructor may break the tie or disqualify an entry. Live chat is for friendly discussion, planning shoots, and constructive critique only. Be respectful, keep language clean, and avoid personal attacks. Do not post private contact details in public chat. Photographers keep full copyright to their work while allowing the club to display entries on the site for class purposes. Winners move to the gallery the following month with author credit.
Tip: Keep images under 1 MB and add alt and title.
